Finding the hidden Jack-a-lope at a Northwoods establishment is always satisfying. That and introducing the species to ignorant guests.

I’ve been in bill’s pub and seen all those dead animals. The only thing that comes to mind is they would have been happier not being shot. And they were dusty.

Belated: this is the post that put Hundreds of Beavers on my radar. Thank you!! I went with friends to see it at the IFC at the tail end of its run there and have no regrets. Probably my favorite film of the year so far - about ten minutes in I started thinking "surely they can't keep this manic Looney Tunes energy up for 90 minutes!" and was so, so thrilled to be proven wrong!!

The movie is centeted on Jean Kayak, but what makes it so engrossing is the background worldbuilding of beaver society. No spoilers: I absolutely lost my shit when the movie revealed what exactly the beavers had been working on

[Very minor spoiler] In a film with almost no spoken dialogue, I lost my shit a second time when a beaver shouted "J'ACCUSE!" at Jean
